Finding Peace in Adversity

“If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.

Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

John 8:31-32

There is such freedom in knowing and following Jesus Christ. He is the Magnificent Redeemer, Lord, and Savior who walks closely with all who cherish His Holy Name providing respite and practical help on a daily basis.

Jesus truly is The Light for all striving people who are willing to walk away from sin and darkness to follow Him. A lighthouse for the lost who traverse dark seas, and all who call upon His name. He is there for those tormented by life’s chaos, mayhem and storms. He is there.

The Great Comforter, ever ready to soothe and calm tormented souls, Jesus stands in the breech waiting to be invited in, inviting us in and waiting for us to seek Him with all we have, especially through our trials, torment and vulnerability.

Jesus is the Great Healer, able to relieve every pain, every infirmity, ease every disability, in His own special time and way. For some He has full healing, others are on the installment plan. Gate keeper for all of Eternity, only He holds the keys to unlock captive, broken hearts, and restore and rejuvenate every soul willing to follow His ways and seek Him in earnest.

 ²⁸ “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.²⁹ Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. ³⁰ For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”   Matthew 11:28-30

Pray for holy boldness to be able to seek Jesus Christ and find Him. He stands in wait for all of humanity to come to The Water and refresh and rejuvenate their weary souls. Learn and follow His ways, and you will find everlasting truth and peace that transcends understanding, even and especially in times of adversity.
