Something went wrong.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 8:38-39

When it comes to God’s love for you and me, His love is boundless and never ending. The above scripture is proof, clear as it possibly can be, regarding the depths of the Love that God holds for us—for all of humanity. This Bible passage reminds us repeatedly that we are all loved unconditionally by God just the way we are. Unlike the world, God’s Love does not depend on what we do or don’t do, who we know, our success or wealth. Far from it. The truth is, He loves you just because you are you. Always has, always will.

4 Kinds of Love

1) Eros Love: Romantic love.

2) Philia Love: Love of friends

3) Storge Love: Love of parents for children.

4) Agape Love: The love God has for all of mankind…No strings attached. It is the same type of love we are called to share with others. Agape Love is a Godly self-less love, given freely, that asks nothing in return. It is the sort of love that propels people to serve others. In the simplest terms, it is actually about sharing with others the generous, compassionate, unsurpassed Love that God has bestowed upon us.

God is our Creator, the Living God who wants to be an active, central part of our lives to ease our burdens, run the mile with us, and bring us eternal life through His Son, Jesus Christ. We only need to invite him in to our lives, and He will do the rest. We need to seek Him, strive to serve Him, and place Him at the helm of our lives to experience love like none other. When we fall short, as we often do, God stands in wait for us to turn back to Him. Sometimes that includes needing to ask Him for forgiveness—which He readily grants to those who are humble enough to ask for it.

God’s Most Precious Gift

God’s unprecedented, merciful Love cannot be earned—rather, it is His most precious gift to us. Though we could never deserve the deep and abiding Love that God bestows upon us all, we do need to live in a way that is worthy of the calling He has placed upon each of us. In reality, how we live is what leads others around us to Christ. For if you profess to believe in Jesus, but are not kind and loving, who will believe you?

Every life has divine purpose—that is, God has a unique plan for each of us. We need to be good stewards of His Love, as we strive to learn about, and live out His ways, work to bring Him to others, and bring others to Him, by striving to live a life of service.

Sure, we all have God-given free-will. And we have the freedom to seek God, as well as, the free-will to walk away from Him, if we so desire. But why would we turn away from God, depriving ourselves of His generous Love, and the mercy, compassion, and grace that He has waiting for us?

Every individual gets to decide if they will seek and follow God and His Only Son, Jesus. The choice rests fully on each of us. Sure, we can go it alone in this world without God, choosing to do it our own way and take our chances. But when we do, we really miss out on so much, and all too often the results can be mediocre at best, for too often we find ourselves floundering when left to our own devices. But we still need to do our part and leave the rest to Him.

Certainly no one is perfect. God doesn’t expect us to be, though we may expect that of ourselves. But He does want us to work towards growing into an authentic relationship with Him, one where we accept the Love He has reserved just for us, and share it with others. He wants us to strive to be like His Only Son, Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ: Loving and caring, even of our enemies; encouraging and serving others, leading others to Him, and reveling the great Love He holds for each of us.

Yes—God’s Love for you is boundless. Actually He IS the very definition of Love. As we turn towards God, accepting and sharing His Love opens us up to so many blessings. Forgiveness of our sins. Abundant supply. Healing of infirmity in body and mind. Comfort in times of most need, to name a few. Perhaps we need to turn to God, step into the Light of His Love by seeking Him now, and let Jesus lead us to higher ground. For God’s Love is a given, as He ever so gently leads us to eternal life. What more could we possibly need want and more, than the unconditional Love of God, and subsequently the hope, which Jesus provides for us each day?
