Are you feeling weary, worried, down, or fearful, struggling to cope with the far-reaching effects of the corona-virus? Certainly this pandemic has been challenging in every way—a difficult time for us all. Isolation, infirmity, uncertainty, required to wear masks, and social distancing. Due to the pandemic, we are being forced to miss or adapt important life events such as graduations, baptisms, and weddings. Even many schools are closed for class room learning, leaving children and their parents wondering what to do next. With all that going on, it seems highly illogical and is seemingly impossible at times to find peace or a silver lining in this turbulent time we are living—But is it really? Consider today’s scripture passage:

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid.”

John 14:27

This scripture gives us great hope! It serves as a reminder that God is in control, and that He will provide for our every need. He alone is The One that can bring us peace and settle our fears. He will help us rise above our circumstances—whatever they may be– to peacefully walk through this valley unafraid, with renewed confidence and hope. All we need to do is pray and ask for Jesus’ help.

It is easy to fear the future when you believe you are alone in your situation. But this Bible passage tells us that peace can be found in Jesus Christ.

Faith and fear cannot coexist. So we need to pray for inner peace and calm, and watch our situation and our perception of our circumstances change. When you turn to Almighty God for help, He will help you! He will lift you up and help you face each day with more courage and endurance than ever before. For Jesus, the Son of God, IS our Hope—In fact, He is the Greatest Hope the World Has Ever Known!

Jesus is our living Savior–we need to turn to Him and trust Him in good times and in times of adversity, especially when all seems lost. He will go before us to pave the way. When you seek Jesus out in prayer, you will find Him, and He will heal, comfort, protect, guide, and save you from infirmity, feeling lost, isolated, and from the throes of despair. He will lift your spirits, take care of your loved ones, and bring you deep inner peace, simply for the asking. So there is no need to be troubled or afraid in this unprecedented, uncertain time, for through the power of the Holy Spirit, Jesus’ has you in the palms of His loving hands!
