“The just shall flourish like the palm tree, shall grow like a cedar of Lebanon, 14 Planted in the house of the Lord, they shall flourish in the courts of our God.”

Psalm 92:13-14

Today’s Holy Scripture tells us that the just who follow God’s commands shall grow strong and flourish. Not just exist or get by, but flourish like a tall cedar of Lebanon by a river bed! The implications of this Bible passage for believers are, indeed, far-reaching, as we consider the operative key word, God’s promise for the just: FLOURISH!

When we flourish in God’s sight, through His intercession in our lives, we are able to live knowing that we are His children, and thereby, we reap the plentiful benefits of close communion with Jesus. He provides us with the discernment to know His Divine Will, and follow it, and the compassion to love one another as He does. He enables the just with the fortitude and perseverance to follow Him closely in all things, to the best of one’s ability.

With the Holy Spirit as our Advocate, our companion guide for the journey, we are able to reach out for Jesus’ hand and heart, and connect with Him at any given time and place for any reason. In the face of both adversity and serenity, we are able to pray to Jesus directly, with confidence, knowing He hears our prayers and answers them specifically in His own special time and way.

When we flourish, we are able to walk in gratitude to God for the many blessings He showers on our lives, the key to experiencing and embracing a joy-filled life. In fact, protection, comfort, healing, and abundant supply are ours simply for the asking.

When we flourish, we are able to realize our God-given purpose(s) in life, and pursue them with complete abandon. We are able to show kindness, provide light and solace, and a helping hand, to others in need.

When we recognize The Source of our flourishing, the blessed cycle of gratitude continues…

“The just shall flourish…”  Psalm 92:13-14

May you flourish today, and revel in the arms of God as you go about your day. May you embrace all the many blessings He has showered upon you in gratitude, and share Jesus,                                        ‘The Source of Your Joy,’ wherever you go!
